(i) Explain what are the necessary safety measures which LG must put in place before carrying out
the work in elevated positions. (5)

employer, LG, must implement several safety measures to protect workers like Ditena and Disenke.
These safety measures include:
1. Scaffolding: Proper scaffolding must be erected, ensuring it is stable and secure to support
workers working at heights. The scaffolding should meet safety standards and be regularly
inspected for safety.
2. Fall Protection Systems: LG must provide fall arrest systems, such as safety harnesses,
lanyards, and guardrails, to prevent workers from falling. All workers should be properly
trained in using fall protection equipment.
