You need to download the report to answer the questions. To download the integrated report, go to: Instructions Download and save the IAR on your desktop or in a folder so that you can access it easily. Once you have saved the IAR, open the report and answer the questions. Each question refers to a heading and a page number. Page numbers refer to the page number as indicated on the integrated report (top right). You do NOT have to read the entire report; only refer to the specified sections. We advise you to work with the electronic version of the integrated report, as it is a lengthy document to print. Work on a laptop or computer, so that you can easily open and navigate between two windows/browsers. Question 1 (7 marks) Go to the report presented on pages 56–58 of the IAR and answer the following questions: 1.1 Identify the level of the manager who wrote this report. (1 mark) 1.2 What are the two primary responsibilities (managerial functions) of this manager (theoretically)? (2 marks) 5 1.3 Provide one quotation from page 57 for each of the two responsibilities named in your answer to question 1.2. (2 marks) 1.4 Based on this manager’s primary responsibilities, what management skill is mostly required (theoretically)? Explain what this type of skill entails. (2 marks) Question 2 (2 marks) Go to the “Our Good Business Journey” section on page 4 of the IAR and indicate to which SDG WHL contributed to in the following years: 2.1 2018 (1 mark) 2.2 2022 (1 mark) Question 3 (5 marks) Go to the “Board Composition” on page 15 of IAR. Consider the listed governance principles and analyse the level of board diversity. Indicate which approach to managing diversity WHL is most likely following. Support your answer with quotations from the IAR and references to the studied theory. Question 4 (5 marks) Go to the “Stakeholder Engagement” section on page 40 of the IAR. Consider the stakeholders that are shown to have a HIGH level of influence and a HIGH level of interest (top right quadrant in the figure). Classify each of these stakeholders under either the task, general OR the internal environment of WHL. Question 5 Go to the “Our Employees” section on page 43 of the IAR. Consider how WHL responded to employees’ needs and categorise the type of organisational culture that is evident in this section by referencing the studied theory.
