, INTRODUCTION

This assignment is to illustrate the concepts, and principles of integrated marketing
communication and its process in the business environment. Information such as
segmentation, stakeholders, sponsorships, direct marketing and social media marketing play a
crucial role in marketing communication and through this assignment we will learn the
differences and suitability between them.

QUESTION 1

One approach to segmenting broad categories of stakeholders is recognizing the various
overlapping groups within.

Internal stakeholders, including supervisors, administration officers, managers, and secretaries,
are integral to the organization, with interests like stockholders (focused on profits and
dividends) and directors (concerned with management and strategies). They also include
partners such as agents, franchisees, outlets, branches, distributors, and dealers. On the other
hand, external stakeholders lack a continuous direct connection with the organization like the
media, government institutions, customers, the community, and suppliers.

Primary stakeholders hold direct influence over the organization. Secondary and marginal
stakeholders may have less significance initially but can gain importance later or in specific
circumstances. Entities like the environmental lobby and the media fall into this category and
might only become primary stakeholders when the organization causes environmental pollution
or when such perception arises. In such cases, they demand attention as the "culprits" and
transition into primary stakeholders requiring direct communication.

Existing or traditional stakeholders encompass employees and customers, while future
stakeholders comprise students and potential, possibly unaware, customers and employees.
Neglecting or disregarding either existing or future stakeholders is an big risk for any
organization.
