I am currently associated with the University of South Africa, where I am an
honours student in Psychology.
Due to my current employment in an office environment and past experiences
as a business owner, I have a special interest in the effects envy can have on
the productivity of a company.
The reason for approaching you with this proposal is to obtain permission from
you to conduct this study in your company. Participation will be completely
voluntary, and the questionnaires can be completed by your employees in their
own time, so that it will not intrude on their working time. It will also entail
having an interview with you, or the respective supervisors, about the levels of
