muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Protection: vital organs in the body, e.g., heart, lung and brain, are protected by a
person's skeleton.
Hearing: the ossicles of each ear send radio waves to the inner ear, allowing us to hear.
Blood cell formation: Blood cells (red and white) for in the red bone marrow.
Mineral storage: Minerals such as calcium and phosphate are reserved.
