MISSION STATEMENT TASK

Mission statement: Reflective Essay
Reflecting on my mission statement has been a profound journey to understanding what makes
me who I am and what drives me to improve daily. The two core aspects that are pivotal to my
growth and long-term success are fostering a commitment to kindness and social justice and
pursuing continuous learning and personal development.

Commitment to Kindness and Social Justice;
These principles guided me as I grew up with Jewish values like monotheism, justice, compassion,
education, and tikun olam. My desire to connect with people
regardless of their backgrounds and engage in acts of kindness is a
practical goal shaping my everyday actions. These actions have
taken on tangible forms through my experiences with the
Transformation and Diversity Committee and my dedication to
community service, mentoring, and fundraising.

Making this commitment a reality requires consistent and thoughtful engagement with others.
Volunteering, active participation in community programs, and conscious efforts to reach out to
those who might feel marginalised or misunderstood are crucial steps. These actions, while they
may seem small at the moment, accumulate over time, they shape me and leave a legacy of
compassion and will hopefully resonate with those around me.

Pursuit of Continuous Learning and Personal Development;
My inquisitive nature drives me to explore new territories, especially within technology and
philosophy. I'm not content with staying still; I seek to push my boundaries, grow intellectually,
and apply what I've learned to help others. This also applies to my physical well-being, where goals
like running a half marathon symbolise a commitment
to a healthy and balanced life. Reviving the dormant
Chess Club at school, leading various sports teams,
developing the Mental Wellbeing Manager app, and
enrolling in Oxford's Summer Course on
Entrepreneurship, showcase my commitment to
intellectual growth and technological innovation
showcasing my desire in the pursuit of continuous
learning and personal development.

Action Steps and Long-term Effects: I recognise the need to implement a structured plan to meet
these ambitions. Whether allocating time for study, setting milestones for my future, participating
