Step 1: Set the scene.

My ecological Footprint is 7.6 global hectares, and my personal earth overshoot day is 19 Mar and if
everyone were to live like me, we would need 4.7 earths. This is above 1.8 global hectares above
what should be. this means that I’m unsustainable.

Part A

You need to say something about your footprint based on what you have just read in the
“Sustainability? “Section. How do you feel about the result.

Based on my ecological footprint t is 7.6 global hectares I feel Bad because I’m unable to get what I
need my life it’s at a low standard they are lot of achievement which I still need to work hard for. I
follow under people who are unable to get everything which they need by they own time.

Part B

My own engagement with the nature is that people who are low standard of living they are the one
who are capable of protecting the environment for an example people who are advantaged most of
them they have cars and if all advantaged have cars which means the carbonized that comes from
the car will be damaging the environment ozone layer. therefore, it will increase global warming
because the carbon dioxide will be too much in the atmosphere that will result in increase of
temperatures which will affect the polar bears because they don’t need high temperatures because
ice will melt. With that being said I follow under unsustainable I don’t have a car so I contribute more
on saving the polar bears and I can also assist on cleaning lettering so that the environment can be
protected, and another thing is that people who are advantaged they don’t even think about
cleaning the environment, so therefore my answer does not need an adjustment I’m still happy.

Part C-Court 60% of the total grade

- “Do the right thing-Deontology”-Here we want you to think about the sustainability of problem
from the perspective of Kant’s categorical imperative.

Kant say “act only on that maxim by which you can at the same time will that it should become a
universal law “it is not an issue for advantaged people to become billionaires, but the problem will
arise when they are not protecting the very same nature that they need to survive. Advantaged
people also need to contribute on protecting our nature because that where they resource comes
from so they must play a part. For example, back on assessment 2 I choose A because I don’t see any
problem for Van Dijk to earn such huge amount. Van Dijk also starts when he ecological footprint is
above 1.8 global hectares because he work hard he become sustainable so therefore because he has
money he can also assist those who are unstainable to be sustainable.

- “Fairs Fair-Distributive Justice “-Here you need to think about what is fair for our children -for future
generations-using Rawls’ veil of ignorance specifically

The value of ignorance dispute equality to all.it allows everyone to have equal opportunity or
access to everything in their society.it focus in allowing people to live without thinking about
their social status religion gender or race. The value of ignorance helps people to just live
thinking about what they status allows them to do. For example, advantaged people can just
forget about their status and work like any other person without thinking about their wealth.
