Question :

An individual’s career is an accumulation of work-related experience that this person
has participated in during his or her working life. This accumulation of experience is
influenced by both the organisation that recruited, trained and promoted the person,
as well as the individual who brought his or her unique abilities and motivation to the
workplace. In light of the above, discuss how would you apply all the career
principles (career theories, career and life stages, career anchors, and career
patterns) to your own life and career.

Answer:
In today’s ages career has changed so much in this generation than in the past,
while there is many people out there who is wishing for a career, for others is just a
mean to stability.
There is 3 theories to career theories, which is Holland’s theory and Super’s theory
and Yung
Holland theory is views that there is a match between your personality and your
career environment. It gives you six personality types with six environments that
match each other. Further it describes that each personality type is characterized by
your prevenance your dislike. Yung’s theory is the career development as a process
where you as the individual develop the context of self-development in the work
environment. Theory is based on psychological types ,Individual’s orientation to life
can be understood in terms of their psychological type the psychological type
represents a personality pattern that is made up of a combination of attitudes and
psychological functions. Social, investigation, artistic and enterprising. All these has
to do with your personal motivation,observations.How you manipulate others to
reach economic and social gain. The accident theory when career is influence
chance events that are beyond your control like money, disease like COVID

Life stages and careers .
Growth ( age 4 to 13) Children explore the world around them, different as adults
who serve as role models. They develop their capabilities, attitudes and interest.
Increasing personal control over themselves

The early life / career stage (18 to 40)
• Involves the following self-related factors
Novice phase
Transitional phase
Settling down phase
Intimacy
Forming new relationships and finding a place in the adult world by exploring
alternatives
Greater sense ot seriousness of life and realisation that changes may have to be
made before it is too late.
Fulfil aims set earlier and have a sense ot being their own person and succeeding in
societv - engagement of self in the world.
