1.1) Tone
The tone of this passage is neutral as there is no aggression and sadness, the
passage is about ambiguous.


1.2) Genre
The use of language in this passage is very good and good language is used to
communicate.


1.3) Audience
The Audience of this passage is everyone, including scholars, workers, the
government, it’s for the public.


1.4) Message
The message in this passage is that we should take precautions with regards to
coivd-19. However, some messages from the government are ambiguous
because it is affecting workers as they still don’t have information about what
‘safe’ looks like.




Question 2

, 2.1) The difference between Active listening and Passive Listening is that,
Active listening is when one person listens and responds to the other person
who is who is speaking during the conversation which helps to improve mutual
understanding between both the people. Here the person pays attention is
each other. Passive Listening is when one person is speaking and the other
person is listening without reacting and interrupting the person who is
speaking. Here the person does not have to really pay attention or he/she does
not pay attention.



2.2 a) You should go to school so you can get good marks.

The ‘should’ in this sentence is a recommendation for a child that does not
want to go to school.

b) I should have done my task well

The ‘should’ in this sentence is talking about an obligation, where this person is
thinking/saying he/she should have done better in the given task.



2.3) a)Address

* It could mean the place of where someone is staying

*It could mean the way you speak to someone. The way you address them.

3.1) Positive Influence

*If the child lives in a home where it is lively and is always encourage to learn
and read, the child will learn faster and upper his/her grades.

* A child with supportive family members and family members that
communicate well will be motivated and encouraged and will always want to
learn new things and will tend to learn languages and will be able to read
faster.
