a) Rote Learning - is the process of memorizing specific new items as they are encountered. The basic
idea is simple and easy to realize within a computer program: Each time a new and useful piece of
information is encountered, it is stored away for future use.
b) Pedagogical content knowledge - is a type of knowledge that is unique to teachers, and is based
on the manner in which teachers relate their pedagogical knowledge (what they know about
teaching) to their subject matter knowledge (what they know about what they teach).
c) Pedagogy - is the combination of teaching methods (what instructors do), learning activities (what
instructors ask their students to do), and learning assessments (the assignments, projects, or tasks
that measure student learning).
d) Epistemologies - is the theory of knowledge. It is concerned with the mind's relation to reality.
