approach to the matter was far too aggressive which students are not likely to respond

the correct qualification or even any teacher training at all and this may point to her

‘black self-hate’ and I can agree with this. This teacher is violently combing the hair of
her black students, this may reflect on the students that their hair is not good enough
in today’s society and that is why it needs to be violently changed.

a way that is effective and sensitive. This means that the teacher is about to give
direction to provide discipline and communicate effectively. The teacher is the video
is not providing direction or communicating with her students effectively.
A professional teacher should always be considerate of the needs, emotions, and
boundaries. This teacher does not seem to be considerate of her students’ physical
boundaries, as she continuously violently brushes their hair.
All professional teachers should act is a role model and leader for their students to
follow. This means that a teacher needs to set the right example of how to act
according to the respectable norms of society. This teacher is setting a bad example
for her students in that she is showing them that it is okay to physically harm others
and to shout at others with no consequences.

A professional teacher is to be able to build relationships that empower students and
care for students. The teacher in the video shows that her relationship with her
students is not one that shows care, love, or respect in the fact that she is hurting her
students physically and verbally.
A professional teacher should be responsible for all their students, this teacher may
be taking responsibility for the neatness of her students on behalf of their caregivers,
but it should not have been done forcefully.
According to SACE a teacher should respect the rights of their students. The teacher
in the video is not respecting the right to not be treated in a degrading way. The teacher
is not giving her students the chance to comb their own hair and humiliating them, as
from what I can see these students are old enough to keep themselves neat without

the teacher should avoid all forms of humiliation, be it verbal or physical. the teacher
in the video is not only humiliating the boys. This is also what Panyaza Lesufi

In conclusion, for the teacher to have been an appropriate professional teacher, she
should have asked the permission of the parents and if that were not possible, to ask
the students if she could comb their hair or if they would like to do it themselves. The
teacher should have also, if gotten permission combed the hair in a gentle manner
