Increasing vs Decreasing
Increasing; when the gradient/derivative is greater than 0
f’(x) > 0
decreasing; when the gradient/derivative is less than 0
f’(x) < 0
Stationary Points
The gradient is zero at the POINT OF INFLEXION/TURNING POINT
These are known as STATIONARY POINTS !!
The point of inflexion is where the change in gradient happens
