Factorising Cubics
● In order to factorise cubics/quadratic factors (me g 4 te s)
we use SYNTHETIC DIVISION
● Always factorise, use HCF then Trinomials
SYNTHETIC DIVISION ;
● Change signs to the first factor given
● Make sure there in numerical order of x
● If a term is missing, use in its place
● Always must end up with a
x3 - 6x2 + 7x + 6 given that ( x - 3 ) (no we mu fin t e ot fa r)
1. Bring first guy down two
2. Multiply first guy by given number
3. Add down
4. Multiply that down guy with given number
