Problem Solving
➔ Problems are challenges that are yet to be solved.
➔ There are predictable challenges (Eg, rapid growth of a business) and
unexpected problems (Eg, natural disaster).
Problem-solving Techniques
1. Pros and Cons chart
This technique involves the weighing up of pros and cons. In order to weigh the
pros and cons:
● Allocate a ranking of importance and then identify which has the most
important pros. (most important=A and least=F)
● Score each aspect on a scale from 1-5.
2. Swot Analysis
This analyses the macro, market and micro environment.
