ASSIGNMENT 02 (a)

The scientific quality of a research project is essentially determined by the
validity of each aspect (planning, implementation, conclusions) thereof, the
implementation of a research project is steered by the aim of the research.
The planning of the research is valid if it is completely in line with the research
problem. If any aspect of the research raises questions regarding the validity
thereof, the scientific value of the research project is seriously compromised.
Research conclusions are derived from the research focus and the data which
has been collected and interpreted to shed light on the research problem.

ASSIGNMENT 02 (b)
 Yes, there is a logical link between the first three sentences because the
sentences are straightforward in terms of the message they convey, they all
talk about importance and needs that need to be done correctly to propel the
learners to understand and embrace knowledge, they put both learners and
educator first as the curriculum promotes thinking and learning of new things
in their daily working environment
 Yes, he said Teachers are the stronghold of successful future children and if
the children become passive, this passiveness will be seen in the

, developmental and progressive stages of the learners’ life through the school
system.
 Yes, in line 4 he said “Generally, teachers have excellent knowledge and
wisdom of tackling the obstacles in the curriculum implementation” here it
shows that the author thinks that all teachers are the same they all have
excellent knowledge and wisdom of tackling the obstacles in the curriculum
implementation meanwhile that is not true some teachers don’t know how to
implement the curriculum
 Curriculum implementation is phenomenal and needs to be done correctly to
make learners understand and embrace knowledge

ASSIGNMENT 02 (c)

A child-headed family is a family in which a child has become the head of the
household, where the child is in charge of taking day-to-day decisions, and they
become decision makers in matters related to the household-they stay. In a child-
headed family, a child is forced at an early age to look after their siblings because of
many reasons such as losing their parents(death), or parents working far from home
and finding that there are no family members to take care of them so in that situation
the oldest child is forced to care for their younger siblings. Child-headed children get
affected a lot when it comes to their studies, they don’t perform well at school
because when they come back from school they must do household chores which
take up most of their time to do their school work
The research focuses particularly on secondary school learners from child-headed
households because children living in child-headed households find it hard to go to
school because of a lack of money, and even if they do, many of them do not attend
school regularly because they feel tired, they don’t have enough food to sustain them
during school hours or because they are mostly sick. During my high school years in
grade 10, one of the students in my class was looking after her 2 siblings, it was sad
to watch because she was always late at school because she had to prepare for her
siblings who were in primary, she would come to school smelling of Paraffin because
they did not have electricity, they were staying in a shack, not much support was
given to her at school apart from receiving food from feeding school. Her grades
were not good. child-headed households, education is likely to be affected by
absenteeism and possible dropout as these children require time to run households
and to take care of younger siblings
The research will help learners because if parents engage and help with children’s
education, then they are likely to improve the performance of pupils in schools.
children in child-headed homes suffer from depression caused by high levels of
stress this research will make a lot of people to be aware of what these children go
