Question 1
1.1Literature comprises numerous constituent parts, which we can call elements, including the
action developments within the story (plot), and the people about whom the story is told
(characters). The literary elements influence a reader's understanding and involvement of a book by
describing the events selectively, and showing how people would act or react in those situations. As
such, these elements offer the main methods through which readers can grasp the contents of the
book. For example, in a story about a farmer, the plot (what the farmer does) would enable the
reader to understand events or think through how the reader would behave, while the characters
(the farmer and any relatives) would enable the reader to feel a connection with the story, thus
developing engagement or involvement. For example By looking at above the text you are able to
find characters which is biy called percy his step father which his name is Grabriel Uglian Eddie,
grabriel’s friend and Percy's mother. The story was setting is in Percy's house, the plot the young boy
who is coming back home from boarding school after being expelled. Conflicts begins when grabriel
Percy’s step father ask money from percy and he said he doesn't have it and he wanted Eddie to
back up his actions then there's a theme is that percy came home thinking that her mother was
going to be angry at him for being expelled at school only to find her welcoming and happy to see
him. These elements work together to create the basic structure of a story. Without any one of
these components, a story will fall flat, and changing any one of these elements can dramatically
affect a story's structure and impact.
QUESTION2
Reader response theory identifies the significant role of the reader in constructing textual meaning.
In acknowledging the reader's essential role, reader response diverges from early text-based views
found in New Criticism, or brain-based psychological perspectives related to reading. The Reader-
Response Theory was used in the form of activities. There were several reader-response theory-
based activities conducted by the teacher, which could be divided in the form of written and spoken.
Those activities could be known in the explanation below. The utilization of literature circles
promotes student engagement in the reading process (Graves etal., 2011). In literature circles, a
group of students read and respond to the same text, generally a novel selected by the students and
