, Electric circuits with resistors in series and parallel – measuring potential
difference and current.
Step 1: Identify a problem and develop a question.
What is the effect of resistors connected in series and parallel according to potential
difference (V) and current (A) measured across the circuit?
Step 2: Hypothesis
Potential difference of resistors connected in series divide across the circuit but
Current is the same and potential difference of resistors connected in parallel is the
same across the circuit but current divide.
Step 3: Design an Experiment
Apparatus needed
Multi-meter
Resistors
Supply voltage
Wires
Connecting board
Wire stripper
Side cutter
Nuts and washers
Procedure
Design and wire a circuit with resistors connected in series and supply the circuit
with 125V. Use a multi-meter to test or measure the potential difference (v) and
current (A) across the circuit and record the findings in a table form.
