1. WELCOME TO THE COLLEGE
Welcome to Unisa and in particular to the College of Economic and Management Sciences.
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with information that will assist you with various matters in your
studies. We hope that we will have a fruitful and enriching learning partnership and that during this year
you will learn more about the interesting and ever-changing field of your discipline.
I would like to congratulate you for trusting the University of South Africa (Unisa) to assist you in pursuing
your dream of further education during the 2021 academic year. Unisa is the largest provider of business
education in Africa and one of the largest in the world. The College of Economic and Management
Sciences (CEMS) prides itself in making a considerable contribution towards the provision of high-level
