GTP eiwit. Ran-GTP kan ook heel goed binden aan de NLS receptor. Je krijgt daardoor een
conformatieverandering. Het eiwit wat aan de NLS receptor gebonden is krijgt daardoor een lagere
bindingsaffiniteit en laat los. De receptor wordt vervolgens terug getransporteerd. Aan de cytosolaire
zijde heb je vooral ran-GDP doordat ran-GTP gefosforyleerd wordt. Ofwel door regulatie van dit G
eiwit kan dit proces zijn richting krijgen.
GAP zorgt ervoor dat GTP GDP wordt. Door ervoor te zorgen dat buiten de kern veel Ran-GAP is en
binnen de cel veel ran-GEF, zorg je dat er een gradiënt ontstaat.
