and for survival of species
• Reproductive organs in humans = testes and ovaries
• Genitalia = penis and vagina

• Scrotum = protects and holds the testes, temp. regulator for optimal
spermatogenesis (drops when hot, towards body when cold since sperm
survive at a certain temp)
• Testes = long, convoluted tubules -> seminiferous tubules, lined with
germinal epithelium. Cells of Leydig / interstitial cells = produce
testosterone
F = spermatogenesis.

immobile spermatids.
