In Grade 8 Drama (Creative Arts) during Term 2 in CAPS, learners focus on dramatic skills and performance. They explore characterisation, voice, movement, body language, facial expressions, improvisation and storytelling. Learners work with scripted and unscripted drama, develop characters and scenes, use space and stage directions, and learn how to communicate emotions and ideas effectively to an audience. They may also participate in group performances, where they practise rehearsal techniques, cooperation and stage presentation.
