he was still a student.

English: After his studies he was an editor at JIP and the book page of Volksblad, and currently works as a publisher of children's and
young-adult books at LAPA Publishers. He has written more than forty children's and young-adult books and received several awards,
including the ATKV Children's Book Award (eight times), the Alba Bouwer Prize and the C.P. Hoogenhout Medal. He lives in Bloemfontein.
