Pronunciation is very important when one wants to learn isiZulu.
However, it is good to remember that the main objective is not to
acquire a perfect accent of Zulu but to be understood.
the first important rule to remember regarding pronunciation in
isiZulu is that the penultimate syllable of most Zulu words is
lengthened.
The lengthening of this syllable is clearly audible in words that occu
as the final words in sentences.
