• Extent to which you feel overwhelmed & unable to handle things due to too much
pressure

WHAT IS GOOD STRESS (EUSTRESS)?
• It's positive stress
• Feeling intense pressure when you are actually willing to do something (it motivates you
to work)
• Positive form of stress that gets you ready for action as it gives you adrenaline & energy

WHAT IS BAD/NEGATIVE STRESS (DISTRESS)?
• State of negative emotional feelings that a person cannot handle/which leads to an inability to
perform well
• Feeling of intense pressure when one is about to do something & then cannot perform as expected
• Can make you feel sick/unhappy which can lead to unhealthy lifestyle choices (drugs)

STRESSOR
Things that accelerate stress & you find yourself in a state of stress because of it
Any situation that can threaten one's general well-being & that is challenging.

 Prevents you from doing what you would do under normal circumstances
