Instructions:
1. The examination question paper counts 80 marks.
2. It consists of FOUR questions. Answer ALL of the questions.
3. Number the answers to each question clearly.
4. The duration of the examination is 4 hours. In addition to the
duration of the examination indicated on the timetable, you are
given 30 minutes to FINALISE the uploading of your exam
file. Your exam answer file must be uploaded via the myExams

5. This is an open-book examination. You may consult your
prescribed study material during the examination. While the
examination is in progress, you are not allowed to consult
another person in order to assist you to answer any of the
questions contained in this question paper. While the
examination is in progress, you may not assist another student in
answering any of the questions contained in this question paper.
6. This examination is proctored via the Invigilator App. You are
required to activate (or log in to) the Invigilator app between
13:30 PM and 14:15 PM (South African Standard Time).

6.1 It has been noted that students tend to prioritise uploading invigilation results immediately after writing
which affects uploading of their submission within the allowable 30 minutes to finalise the uploading of
their exam answer files. In such cases, students miss their submission time. No late or e-mail submissions
are accepted by the University. You are reminded that you have 48 hours to upload your invigilation
results on the Invigilator app and you should rather prioritise uploading your exam answer file on the official
myExams platform.
6.2 You have 10 minutes after the scheduled examination end time to upload your script on the
Invigilator App. Failure to upload within the stipulated 10 minutes results in the Invigilator App being non
responsive. In such a case, you are advised to stop attempting to upload your answer script on the
Invigilator App and to immediately submit your answer script via the myExams platforms.
6.3 You will have 48 hours from the date of their examination to upload the invigilator results from the
Invigilator App . Failure to do so will result in students deemed not to have utilised the invigilation or
proctoring tools.
