Total dead load, Gn equals self-weight, Gself, plus superimposed dead loads,Gsdl

Self-weight of beam, Gself = 24 x 0.4 x 0.6 = 5.76 kN/m

Gsdl = 10 kN/m

Total dead load = 10 + 5.76 = 15.76 kN/m

Live load =8 kN/m
