essay format. Part B must be answered in an essay format.
FOR THE ESSAY QUESTION (Question 3), YOU HAVE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
• Start your essay with an introduction in which you briefly explain the essay and your
approach to answering the question.
• The body of the essay should include headings and subheadings.
• Include a conclusion summing up the discussion.

• Include a bibliography at the end of the essay. This bibliography must be compiled
according to the Harvard Referencing Method.
• In the “list of references”, indicate the name of the author, the full name of the website,
the web address, and the date on which you have accessed the site. (Please note that it
is unacceptable to copy a substantial amount of content from the internet or any other
source and present it as your own answer).
• Students must complete the online declaration of their work when submitting their
examination script.
• Students suspected of dishonest conduct during the examinations will be subjected to
a disciplinary process.
• Students may not communicate with any other person or request assistance from any
other person during their examinations. The use of Telegram, WhatsApp or any other
instant messaging services with any other person (except when asking for technical
assistance via official channels of the SCSC or the Invigilator WhatsApp line) are
strictly prohibited.
• Plagiarism is a violation of academic integrity and students who plagiarise, copy from
published work or use Artificial Intelligence Software (eg ChatGPT) or online sources
(eg course material) will be in violation of the Policy on Academic Integrity and the
Student Disciplinary Code and may be referred to a disciplinary hearing.
• Students may not buy notes from etutors or former students.
• Unisa has a zero tolerance for plagiarism and/or any other forms of academic
dishonesty.
• The page limit for the essay is a maximum of 2 pages (1.5 line spacing, font size 12).
• Answer all of the questions in Parts A and B.

downloaded your question paper during the 15-minute download window before
the official exam start time per the timetable.
• Please take note that you can only scan the QR code for a limited time after the
commencement time of the assessment and it should therefore be scanned as soon
as possible to start the invigilation.
• Please take note that you can only scan the QR code once. Make sure you are ready
to start the assessment when you scan the QR Code.
• It is important to note that you must adhere to the time limit in your myExams
