 Do not annotate yet.
 Identify the purpose of each text.
 Ensure you read the first, middle, and last sentences of each paragraph when skimming.

o What is the main point?
o Who is the audience? (this helps with register)

2. Highlight Only Relevant Information
 Focus only on ideas that answer the question directly.
 Ignore:
o Repeated information
o Examples or stories (unless essential)
o Minor details or statistics
Tip: Highlight keywords such as impact, benefit, challenge, change, education, official.

3. Paraphrase as You Work
 Never copy directly from the text — this loses marks.
 Rewrite ideas in your own words by:
o Using synonyms (impact → influence / effect)
o Changing sentence structure
o Condensing ideas by removing unnecessary words
o Combining short sentences

4. Synthesise Information
 Combine ideas from all texts into one paragraph.
 Do not summarise each text separately.
 Merge related ideas.
 Use connectives to link ideas:
therefore, as a result, consequently, thus, additionally.

5. Write ONE Cohesive Paragraph
 Start with a topic sentence that summarises the overall idea.
 Middle sentences must combine all relevant points.
 End with a concluding sentence (impact or outcome).
