Ideal societies are societies that ought to have equity as their central characteristic. It is needful that all people are treated in a bad manner since all people have unalienable rights that are God-given. Also, ideal societies should have a leadership system whose power is controlled whereby members of the society are in a way involved in decision making. In his bid for freedom against the British Kingdom, Thomas Jefferson developed a Declaration of Independence which sought to make it clear to the British king that America was a free state and that all its citizens were entitled to basic human rights

An Ideal Society Strives for Egalitarianism

Introduction

Equality is the highest valued virtue in the world today. The reason as to why countries

have systems of law and governance is because some elements in those countries may try to

exploit others. As such, efforts are made to curtail any people who may feel that they are

more human than others. As such, an ideal society is a society where the rule of law is

upheld to the maximum. In such a society everyone has equal access to public services,

justice, and maximum individual freedom. Also, in the ideal society, it is paramount that the

members of such a community have a good system of governance. This method should not

be biased to anybody in the nation despite their financial power or influence among people

in the society. An ideal society should also have systems which do not allow a little p[eople

to have supreme authority over the rest of the population. For instance, in most democratic

governments in the world, power is shared among three arms of the govern, meant which

are the Legislature, Judiciary, and the Executive. This makes it hard for one of the arms to

make any unlawful step which may cause oppression to the people.

Unalienable Rights for All

Thomas Jefferson propagated the idea that all human beings were equal and had equal

rights which were granted by their maker. He was a famous politician of the United States.

Thomas Jefferson began his career being a lawyer since he had been admitted to the bar in

his home county Virginia where he had been born and raised up. Apparently, Jefferson went

ahead to become the congressman for the state of Virginia and later the governor of the

same region. He also became the Secretary of state before ascending to the presidency of

the United States (Furgang 5). He made various contributions to the creation of an ideal

society in the United States through the declaration of Independence where he was on the

steering committee that came up with the document. The politician can be remembered for

three of the most significant contributions to the American society throughout his political

career. The first one of those contributions is that he led to the construction of the Virginia

University. Secondly, Thomas Jefferson also declared religious independence in the state of

Virginia. Lastly, His most Significant contribution was the drafting of the Declaration of

Independence. This document was meant to serve as a warning to the British government

against treating the US as a colony. Instead, the British Kingdom was supposed to address

the country as a sovereign state with the ability to respond with military action if provoked.

The declaration of Independence (DOI) begins by dec; clearing the rights of a human

being., It states that according to the eyes of the creator all human beings are equal. As

such, they deserve fair treatment and are endowed with unalienable rights. The DOI also

goes ahead to state that power lays within the people that it is possible for the people to

topple a government on some bases (Furgang 19). One basis could be the inability of a state

to protect the rights endowed on a human being or even the violation of those rights. The

declaration of independence goes ahead to declare the various violations carried out by the

British government on the people of the US. Thomas Jefferson begins by laying out the

characteristics of an ideal society and continues to describe the manner In which the British

govern=nmenet had violated those rights. To start with, King George had violated the US

peoples rights by continually dissolving houses of representatives due to the mere fact that
