WGU C844 Task 1 WM - Analysis of Star Topology and
Vulnerabilities with Complete Solution 100% Correct | 2025
Update
A. Network Topology
When using Zenmap on target 10.168.27.0/24, the network topology found was a Star
Topology (Shown in Figure A-1). The Star Topology that was found using Zenmap
showed 5 hosts that are connected to a central node. In the Star Topology, the central
node is either a hub, switch, or router. The central node manages the flow of the data. In
this Star Topology, three hosts run the Linux Operating System (Shown in Figures A-2,
A-3, and A-4). Two are running the Microsoft Windows Operating System (Shown in
Figures A-5 and A-6). There is one that does not run an operating system at all (Shown in
Figure A-7). Recognizing this Star Topology helps you understand that target
10.168.27.0/24 is a LAN connection.
