Title
This report is based on the case vignette of Annie, a thirteen-year-old Asian-

, siblings. Annie is the youngest child in the family who experiences fears and anxiety. The
only other medical history she has is as a young child she was hospitalized for a serious
illness, but now she is healthy. Annie is quite shy and tries to avoid communicating and
reacting with people, especially in a large group function. So, on their vacation back to
India, it triggers a lot of anxiety for her. She is uneasy about her school assignments,

family and how the DSM-5 and ICD may increase guidance for working with families
using the Z and V codes and their limitations and risks.
