1. Trigonometric Ratios (of acute angles)
In a right-angled triangle:
- Perpendicular: Opposite side of the angle
- Base: Adjacent side of the angle
- Hypotenuse: Longest side (opposite the right angle)
Trigonometric Ratios:
- sin A = Perpendicular / Hypotenuse
- cos A = Base / Hypotenuse
- tan A = Perpendicular / Base
- cosec A = Hypotenuse / Perpendicular
- sec A = Hypotenuse / Base
- cot A = Base / Perpendicular
2. Reciprocal Identities
- sin A = 1 / cosec A
- cos A = 1 / sec A
- tan A = 1 / cot A
