The teacher elicited meaning successfully though the use of body language and
gestures for example she touched her ear for students to repeat “Hola”, she also
waved her hands for students to greet her and say “Hola”. She used a picture to
introduce “como estas?” Through using these gestures, body language and props
she elicited Spanish from the students with no prior knowledge of Spanish.

The teacher used repetition and drilling to reinforce pronunciation very
effectively.
