Passé Past actions Most of the verbs use “avoir” as the auxiliary.

Auxiliary and the past Some verbs that can also use avoir (direct object… not on

Auxiliary uses Parler: J’ai parlé
Être or avoir (same as Finir: Tu as fini
present tense) Vendre: Il/Elle a vendu
Agreement if the object comes before the verb.
Elle a aimé la télévision. Elle l’a aimée. (not on the exam)
Venir: Je suis venu
Naître: tu es né
Monter: Elle est montée
(agreement with être)
Mourir: Nous sommes mortes
The impératif Impératif: Present tense is the same for Impératif:
The subject is never Va! Allons! Allez! Finis! Finissons! Finissez! Bois! Buvons!
expressed. It is Buvez!
conjugated only in 3 ER lose -s in second person: Chante! Chantons! Chantez!
persons: the 2nd singular Regarde! Regardons! Regardez! Dessine! Dessinons!

the 2nd plural (Vous). It Verb irregulars
expresses an order, a AVOIR Aie! Ayons! Ayez!
