Respiratory failure - ANS-results from inadequate gas exchange by the respiratory
system, meaning that the arterial oxygen, carbon dioxide or both cannot be kept at
normal levels.
Respiratory arrest - ANS-is a condition that exists at any point a patient stops breathing
or is ineffectively breathing.
Fallopian tubes - ANS-(in a female mammal) either of a pair of tubes along which eggs
travel from the ovaries to the uterus.
Cervix - ANS-is the lower third portion of the uterus. It forms the neck of the uterus and
opens into the vagina (which is also called the endocervical canal). It is a little over an
inch long, and just about an inch wide.

Supine Hypotensive syndrome - ANS-is characterized by pallor, tachycardia, sweating,
nausea, hypotension and dizziness and occurs when a pregnant woman lies on her
back and resolves when she is turned on her side
Hypothermia - ANS-significantly reduces the body to form blood clots.
Vertebrae - ANS-The human spinal column is made up of 33 bones - 7 vertebrae in the
cervical region, 12 in the thoracic region, 5 in the lumbar region, 5 in the sacral region
and 4 in the coccygeal region.
Pneumothorax - ANS-occurs when air leaks into the space between your lung and chest
wall. This air pushes on the outside of your lung and makes it collapse.
Tension pneumothorax - ANS-too much air is trapped that it's putting more pressure on
the good lung and the heart. (squeezing your lung/heart)
