Case: Albeda College’s ict department offers their help for all Albeda locations. Based
on the fact that there is demand for space in the school; to teach, to work or to relax
Albeda decide to arrange a new location just for the ict department. This means that
Albeda has to make an investment for the ict department to get the new place for the ict
department.
Advantages Explanation
More space Now that the ICT department moved to a
different location teachers have more
space to teach, students and teachers
have more space to work and there is
more space to relax if needed. It is also
more convenient to create a system where
people can login and send their problem to
the ICT department instead of making an
appointment of when the ICT personnel
can come and fix the problem. All ICT
problems will be sent to the ICT
department and the ICT can fix the
problems from out of their own workplace.
Own location The ICT department now has a place for
their selves, this gives a boost to their
morale and can work more effectively now.
Because the place is only ICT related the
employees will feel at home and will work
in a comfortable work environment. Now
that all problems are being sent to the ICT
department and are being fixed there as
well, the movement of the materials will be
reduced. People don’t have to bring their
computer to the ICT department anymore
or the other way around.
Investment in new servers Now that the ICT department has their own
location it is understandable to invest in
new servers or at least upgrade them. This
will decrease the waiting problems when
an ICT problem occurs. Now that the
teacher does not have to make an
