5. Use 12 pt. font size and Times New Roman font style along with 1-inch page
margins.
6. Follow the requirements of the word limit and the marking criteria while writing your

7. Provide relevant, original and conceptual answers, as this exam aims to test your
ability to examine, explain, modify or develop concepts discussed in class.

1. How does an International body; Financial Action Task force (FATF) being a major stakeholder
influence the businesses operating in Pakistan?
Answer:
Financial Action Task Force contributed a lot in peace and security. The international body is a
significant stakeholder and influencing the business in Pakistan in a way that they maintained
their international standards to secure businesses and to prevent illegal activities so that these
businesses cannot harm the society. The international body has made some rules and regulations
to prevent preplanned crime and corruption in the businesses that are operating in Pakistan.
FATF is keeping all the records and closely monitoring all the money laundering and the
terrorism funding activities and framing some policies to prevent or restrict all these activities
and warns Pakistan that the country can also face the risk of getting blacklisted.
2. The absolute closed system is not applicable but it can still thrive despite the fact that it is not in
interaction with the external environmental forces? Do you agree with the statement? Support
your answer with the help of practical example.
Answer
No, I disagree with the statement that an absolute closed system will succeed because many of
the organizations cannot survive without interacting with the external environment. Any of the
organizations cannot become successful while having a closed system because it lacks
communication coordination from the outside environment. It will become difficult for the
organization to train its employees according to the changing scenarios of the external
environment if they have a closed system.
A practical example would be Nokia, which loses its smartphone market share because the
company operates in a very close system due to which they lack behind in innovation. Nokia
remains stubborn and doesn’t understand the needs of people due to lack of communication with
the external environment; their management thinks that people will not accept touchscreen
phones. Failing to adapt to the changes from the external environment was the reason for their
failure.
