introduce nick to his mistress myrtle Wilson – myrtle’s
husband is George
- Tom + nick + myrtle take a taxi to New York and goes to
an apartment, myrtle’s sister: Catherine joins with some
friends (everyone drinks)
- Myrtle complains says daisy’s name – tom hits her, breaks
her nose
