A lengthy process

The Nurse Tim webinar is incredibly informative for both novice nurse educators and
education students, like us, that may be unfamiliar with the transition into the educator role.
One of the biggest take-aways I got from the webinar was that competency in the educator
role takes time and is a gradual process in which your sphere of interest and influence grows
with experience. I think this is important to recognize because it can be overwhelming and
discouraging to enter into a new specialty and not feel successful right away. Managing
expectations, even expectations of yourself, and making realistic goals ensures that you can
