Urine Tests 1st Trimester:


- Glucose

- Protein

- Signs of infection

Gestational Diabetes Screening (1 hour glucose challenge test (GCT)


- 24-28 weeks
- > 140 fails


Gestational Diabetes Screening (3 hour glucose tolerance test (GTT):


- Blood draws fasting, every hour for 3 hours
- 2 elevated readings - gestational diabetes


Rh- negative mothers receive:


Rhogam at 28 weeks; get the drug again after delivery or 72 hours
- Prevent sensitization of mother to Rh + fetus

Lab Tests 3rd Trimester:


- Repeat STI Screening (Gonorrhea & chlamydia)
- Hemoglobin & hematocrit, anemia

- Group Beta Strep


Prenatal Visit Schedule:


- Positive
pregnancy test- 28 weeks (every 4 weeks)
- 29 weeks - 36 weeks (every 2 weeks)

- 37 weeks- delivery (weekly)
