Most people around the world work in jobs in which they produce specific goods and services.

Learning Objective(s):

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to show that they understand the difference
between a good and a service. Students can view an image of a specific job or career and
determine whether that job produces a good or service. They will also have to choose which
good or service is made; students will be expected to complete this task with 80% accuracy.

Materials



Students will need
• Whiteboard markers
• Whiteboard
• Cheat sheet showing names of different jobs (policeman, sanitation worker, teacher)
• Vocab list to remind of the definitions of the words good and service
• Poster boards
• Coloring materials (crayons, markers, colored pencils)
• Magazines with images of community workers


The teacher will need

• Projector
• Projecting screen
• Images of different jobs to show to students

Technology

, The teacher will use a projector and a projecting screen to show images of different jobs to the
students; students will not be using the technology just to view the screen.
