1) Explain purpose of warm-up - answer"To get started we will do a warm-up. This is
done before beginning an exercise session to help prepare the body for the activity by:
-Increasing body and muscle temperature
-Increasing body flow to the extremities
-Enhancing performance
-Increasing ROM
-Reducing risk of injury
We will be doing a general warm-up that will be for 5-10 minutes at a moderate-intensity
aerobic activity."

6) Maintain proper body position during warm-up - answer"We will be warming up on
the treadmill. I will show you what to do first then you will get on and give it a try. As you
step up onto the machine hold onto the side handle to assist you getting up. There is a
safety clip that you will attach to your clothing. This is just in case you lose your balance
and fall the clip automatically will be pulled and shot off the machine. There is a start
button that you will press to get the belt rolling. You can select "manual" and adjust the
speed to around 3 to 5 for moderate-intesity. Make sure you are standing up straight
and not holding on to the side anymore. You will walk for 5-10 minutes. I will check on
you to make sure that you are still ok with the pace. When the 5 minutes is up you will
hit the arrows down to slow down the machine or hit the stop button. Then you will sit
down on the treadmill and I will take your pulse for 1 minute to test your Heart Recovery
Rate."
