Proportion

Ratio
-A comparison of two quantities by division
Unit rate
-A rate in which the second quantity in the comparison is one unit.
Percentage
-A ratio that compares a number to 100.

-The horizontal number line in a coordinate plane.
y-axis
-The vertical axis on a coordinate plane.
Scale Factor
-The ratio used to enlarge or reduce similar figures.
Equation
-A mathematical sentence that shows that two expressions are equivalent.
Dilation
-A transformation that changes the size of an object, but not the shape.
Diameter
-A straight line passing from side to side through the center of a circle or sphere.
Radius
-A straight line from the center to the circumference of a circle or sphere.
