Task 1


1. In this lesson, students will be able to write a sentence with correct capitalization and

complete sentences using the proper punctuation and spelling. These students are in the

1st grade.



Behavior: Students can write in complete sentences with capitalization while using the correct

punctuation and spelling.



Condition: Students will write independently at their tables while using their pencils.



Measurable Criterion: The students must write one sentence that uses the correct capitalization,

spelling, and punctuation at the end of their sentence.



Learning Objectives:

B. Students will write sentences in their journals, such as "My favorite part of school is ...."



1. After the students have completed the sentences in their journals, I will grade them based on

the previously listed measurable criteria.



2. I will review each student's sentences by reading them and correcting the sentences that they

wrote in their journals. I will write corrections for them to go back over. I will then pass the

papers out and ensure they understand the corrections and how they can be more successful next

time.
