Alys Smith
Alys is an accomplished academic tutor and writer with a passion for
English literature and creative writing. After graduating with a First-Class
degree in English Literature from Durham University, she went on to
complete a Master's in Creative Writing at the University of Cambridge.

With over a decade of tutoring experience, and as Founder and Managing
Director of Tutti Tutoring, Alys has guided hundreds of students across all
levels—from KS2 to university—helping them develop strong reading,
analytical, and writing skills. She is also an academic consultant and
university applications specialist, mentoring students throughout their
Oxbridge and Ivy League application processes.

Alys is a keen creative writer, always exploring new ideas and forms of
storytelling. She is also a dedicated creative writing mentor, supporting
aspiring young writers in honing their craft, refining their voices, and
developing confidence in their work. Passionate about fostering creativity,
she is committed to helping others unlock their full potential as writers.

Beyond teaching, Alys enjoys reading, long walks, going to the gym,
painting and singing.

Elizabeth Stewart
Elizabeth is an experienced and qualified English teacher and academic
tutor based in South East England.

Elizabeth graduated from Durham University with a First-Class degree in
English Literature, before acquiring her Masters in Women, Writing, and
Gender from the University of St Andrews. She then completed her PGCE in
Secondary English with Distinction at the University of Sussex.

After working as an English teacher for several years, Elizabeth began a
part-time PhD in Eighteenth-century women’s writing, epistemology, and
literary aesthetics at Sussex University. Since beginning her research in
2021, she has spent two years teaching undergraduates at Sussex. She has
presented at conferences across the UK and internationally, and has
secured numerous prizes and nominations for her research, including the
Burney Society UK Postgraduate Bursary and the BECC-BSECS Fellowship,
in association with the British Society of Eighteenth-Century Studies and
the University of Birmingham.

Outside of teaching and studying, Elizabeth is a trained mental health first
aider. She enjoys reading, writing, baking, and playing her guitar for her
puppy, Monty.
