This module is designed to introduce Grade 8 learners to the fundamentals of HTML. It provides
a structured and interactive approach to learning how to create and format web pages. Through
hands-on activities, learners will develop essential digital literacy skills that form the foundation
for more advanced web development concepts. The project-based learning approach ensures
engagement and allows learners to express their creativity while mastering HTML basics.
Description
This module covers key HTML concepts, including structuring a webpage, formatting text,
adding tables, creating lists, and enhancing web pages with styling. Learners will work through
various activities that reinforce these concepts and culminate in a final project where they
create a personalised webpage. The project encourages learners to apply their knowledge to
real-world scenarios, such as designing a school timetable and outlining their future academic
and career aspirations.
