neck muscle physical therapy for relaxation, and
ergonomic adjustments.
1. Cluster Headache:
Abortive Treatment: High-flow oxygen and
triptans can be given. Preventive Therapy:
Verapamil and corticosteroid use can be
considered.
2. Medication Overuse Headache:
Gradual withdrawal of the overused medication
(oftentimes requiring a period of rebound headache).
Preventive medications of underlying headache disorder once
overuse has been resolved.
3. Sinus Headache:
Treat underlying sinusitis, whether it is bacterial with antibiotics
or decongestants.
