Insert Tab - - tools for import and insertion of data into current drawing. Includes tools to link to
outside databases, manage external references, and manage point clouds
Annotate Tab - - Tools to annotate(explain) both AutoCAD and Civil 3D objects within drawing.
Drawing specific settings can be managed with the annotative scales. Can do more with label styles.
Modify Tab - - modification and editing tools for both AutoCAD and Civil 3D objects. Access to
opening the Contextual Ribbon tabs for 3D objects
Analyse Tab - - Tools to perform analyses and inquiries on existing object data. (Examples of analyses
hydraulic area analysis, road design analysis, surface volumes, estimation of quantities by means of
quantity take-offs, and hydra flow tools
View Tab - - Tools that allow you to change the way things are displayed on the screen. Here you can
define multiple viewpoints and customize how objects are displayed.
Manage Tab - - Tools for referencing data across drawings via data shortcuts. Tools to define macros,
customize the user interface file, load custom runtime files, and enforce CAD standards. Can import
Civil 3D styles get rid of unneeded styles from the current drawing. Data shortcut manager found in
2016 edition.
Output Tab - - Produce plan sets, management of plotting, and export data from Civil 3D to
Autodesk- based and 3rd party software.
Survey Tab - - tools to manage Civil 3D survey databases.
Autodesk 360 Tab - - access to cloud services
Help Tab - - access to help resources
