Grade 7 Math
Additive Inverse - ANS -A number that is the same distance from 0 on the number line, but in
the opposite direction.
\Adjacent Angle - ANS -Two angles in a plane that have a common vertex and a common side.
They do not have any common interior points.
\Compound Event - ANS -Two or more independent events considered together.
\Markdown - ANS -The amount by which a price is reduced.
\Population - ANS -The entire collection of items that is the focus of concern. Can be of any size
and while the items need not be uniform, the items must share at least one measurable feature.
\Probability - ANS -The chance that a particular outcome will occur, measured as a ratio of the
total possible outcomes.
\Proportion - ANS -An equation showing that two ratios are equivalent.
\Random Sample - ANS -A selection that is chosen randomly (purely by chance, with no
predictability).
\Scale Drawing - ANS -A drawing of an object or structure showing all parts in the same
proportion of their true size.
\Simple Interest - ANS -A quick method for calculating the interest charge on a loan.
