Depth of Reflection on Educational Leadership and Management
My journey through this module on educational leadership and management has been transformative.
It has broadened my understanding of the intricacies involved in leading and managing educational
institutions effectively. At the start of the module, I viewed educational leadership primarily as an
administrative role focused on operational efficiency and policy implementation. However, as the
module progressed, I realized that leadership in education transcends mere administration. It
encompasses vision-building, fostering collaborative cultures, and inspiring others to achieve shared
goals. For instance, I now appreciate the critical role of transformational leadership in creating a positive
and inclusive school environment.
Another significant shift in perspective was understanding the interconnectedness of leadership and
management. While leadership involves setting the direction and inspiring change, management ensures
that the day-to-day operations align with the overarching vision. This dual focus has enhanced my ability

One of the most profound insights was the importance of relational leadership. Building trust, cultivating
